Runway Review: Christian Siriano Fall 2010
Before I get into the clothes I want to start by saying his presentation, as in presentation theater, was fantastic. The fog and electro remixes by boyfriend Brad Walsh added to the drama and definitely got people excited.
I love what Christian Sirano can do with silk and chiffon. The last number was absolutely stunning, so stunning everyone applauded the moment the model stepped out. But right as the applause started to build up, the model tripped! She didn't fall down, but there was a clear stumble in her walk. True to the spirit of Siriano, she kept walking and it was fierce.
While we're on the topic of Siriano, his Payless collaboration is in stores now, and there's an awesome pair of printed heels! They're also available online at payless.com for an affordable price of $34.99.

Have Fashion's Powerful at Your Fingertips
The online consignment shop Tra Tutti that brought to us Karl Lagermouse (and other designer mice) has now launched Karl Lagerfelt alongside other felt finger puppets including Anna Wintour & Christian Siriano. These puppets are hand-sewn and include Anna & Karl's infamous shades. They on sale now for $19.99 each. I've never had finger puppets before but it's kind of fun having fashion's powers that be on the tips of your fingers. What do you think of them?

Christian Siriano for Payless
New York Post reports that Project Runway winner Christian Siriano has cut a deal with Payless ShoeSource to distribute a line of low-price shoes and handbags at the discount footwear chain next fall. Siriano's Payless line, which will debut at New York Fashion Week in February, will be sold at about 400 (about one-tenth of) Payless stores.This will be good for Christian! I love his high end collection, but really, most of his fans are young and can't afford it. It was only a matter of time before he realized he needed to do something for the masses.
