Target x Calypso St Barth Lookbook

As previously mentioned, global luxe lifestyle brand is coming soon to Target.  The collection will include not only womenswear and childrenswear but a home collection, including candles, pillows and glassware. The collection is set to hit Target stores and be available online on May 1, 2011 and will retail for $1.99 to $79.99.

Interesting to note that this time around Target is going for a wider audience than it’s Go Collections by offering select items, including dresses in petite and plus sizes!

The collection includes more than 200 items across seven product categories and includes dresses, swimwear, cover-ups, scarves and beaded jewelry for women, as well as dresses, tunics, maxi skirts and rompers for young girls and babies. The home collection includes toss pillows, serving pieces, dinnerware and glassware in beach-inspired shades and patterns.

Here is a first look at the women’s collection!  While the boho look is not my typical style, it sure makes me want to go on vacation somewhere warm and tropical.  A lot of the cotton pieces look like they would be perfect for sweltering summers in NYC.  Thinking I’ll need to pick up myself a super wide brim hat and batik dye pieces.

Upcoming Target Designer: Calypso St. Barth

Luxe lifestyle brand Calypso St. Barth has been tapped as the next Target collaboration according to InStyle.com. According to Trish Adams, Target’s SVP of merchandising, “Calypso St. Barth is a renowned global brand with an incredibly loyal following and we think Target’s guests will love the no-fuss, sophisticated appeal of the collection”.

Calypso St. Barth is a celeb favorite and since 1992 they have made bohemian design inspired by worldwide destinations like Rajasthan, Marrakech and Bali accessible to women around the world. Expect to see plenty of beaded caftans, vibrant tunics and colorful silk dresses.
