If you've been dying to get your hands on the latest Rachel Rachel Roy collaboration with guest designer/model Jessica Stam, log on to Facebook! They decided to debut the collection on a special online pop-up shop before launching the collection nationwide on September 10, 2010.

I have to say I was a little bit skeptical of the collection when I first heard about it as every model/celebrity seems to be a designer these days, but with Rachel Roy lending a hand to the technical design elements, I had nothing to worry about! I also gotta hand it to Stam for keeping it tight with great must have items.

I think the pieces that they cranked out are super adorable, especially that little check cardigan! I also am pretty into the skinny button jeans & the bucket bag!

Loving Rachel Rachel Roy

The other night I visited Rachel Roy's website to check out new Rachel Rachel Roy in my weekly (often daily) troll of internet shopping. I'm loving a lot of pieces from the new collection, and bonus, many of the older pieces I've been thinking about are now on sale.


Crinkled Faux Leather Lady Shorts, $99I've never owned a pair of pleather shorts before, so I'm not sure how comfortable they would be since synthetic materials usually don't breathe very well. I imagine they'd be fine in the fall or winter.


Ilano Boots, $149As DesignerSocial pointed out in their fall roundup, lace ups and utilitarian boots are a big trend for fall. These would look great with leggings or skinny jeans. I have a pair of Michael Kors boots that serve a similar purpose, but I am tempted to upgrade...


Hematite & Pearls Mixed Necklace, $125This necklace a great statement piece. I love the mix of polish and rocker, but this is a piece I would want to see in person before purchasing.


Long Wire Earrings With Spear Ends, $24
I have these earrings, and I love them. They're pretty bad ass! Caution though, the wire is quite thick and unlike most earrings the ends are not smooth or rounded. If you don't wear earrings often, it may be tough to get these in. I had to wear different earrings for a few days before putting these ones on.


Twisted Tight Dress, $119I like this dress because it reminds me a bit of a dress from Costello Tagliapietra's fall 2010 collection. This dress would look great for a cocktail party with metallic skinny belt and heels, and it could even be dressed down with a long cardigan and flats for work.

Deal of the Day: RACHEL Rachel Roy Coat Cardigan

I'm an advocate of bright spring coats. When it's dark and gloomy outside for April showers, why not add a little color to lift your spirits? That's why I'm fawning over this lovely yellow spring coat from Rachel Roy's diffusion line, RACHEL Rachel Roy.

In addition to the color, I love the print. It adds a little texture, but it's subtle enough to match just about everything. This piece would look great over just about everything from a simply tee and jeans as styled in the photo to a floral dress (mixed prints, hot for spring). Sample Sale Report: Rachel Roy

Stopped by the editors/employee preview earlier today for Rachel Roy collection and was greeted by a mad sample sale rush over lunch! There was a good selection of merch in sizes ranging from Size 2-10 but the sizes are generously cut and the petite girls around me were complaining. The sale was held in a well lit space and was very tidy. There was a separate change room with plenty of room to put your belongings but only 2 or 3 mirrors available.

So prices were 85% off retail meaning:

Sweaters for $125 (Only saw 3 jeweled ruffle neck cardigans)

Belts were $50 (about 10 or so on a bench)

Blouses were for most part $100-150, although there was a cute oversized roll sleeve shirt for $80. Lace blouse above $150, Lace Peplum Top $175.

Pants were $80 for most part and mostly in black, but the metallic leaf printed pants went up to $180.

Day dresses were $150-175 for most part, while cocktail dresses were $250-400. Most of the dresses I liked were around $150-250.

I think skirts were around 100? Mostly metallic boucle.

Finally, I had been rather excited after hearing that there would be actual samples! I was uber excited when I saw the $25 sign, but was quickly deterred when I realized that most of the samples were indeed true samples and therefore, cut and pinned and even marked. There was a nude tone satin dress that was rather cute but it had a dirt stain on the front.

Although prices were not super cheap, the merch was high quality and very sophisticated in general. Much of it looked more of occasion wear than everyday wear. Definitely worth a check out if you’re a fan of Rachel Roy or in the area, reasonable prices can be found but for rock bottom bargains, this is not your sale.

Rachel Roy and Macy's will be partnering together to bring you an exclusive collection that captures the Rachel Roy aesthetic at an affordable price point. The diffusion line will be called Rachel Rachel Roy and will include affordable contemporary sportswear, footwear and accessories, debuting in August 2009. The collection will be offered exclusively through Macy’s Inc. at select Macy’s stores nationwide and on macys.com.

Founder and artistic director, Rachel Roy, said, “Accessible fashion has always been a passion of mine. Every woman should have the opportunity to express herself through style. Being able to design a contemporary product line that truly reflects a sense of individuality is a great honor. Finally, with just four weeks until Election Day, the designer collaborations for Obama are here. There are shirts and accessories from list of big designers, including Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Vera Wang, Zac Posen, and Tracy Reese.

I say this respectfully, some of the designs were a bit disappointing, but there were a few pieces that I would consider buying to support Obama and add to my memorabilia collection.
