Buy: Sephora by OPI Nail Polish

I just discovered that Sephora by OPI nail polish is now available for a super deep discount! Seriously, 50% off doesn't happen everyday and OPI's long lasting fomulas and wide range of colors are now available in store and online for just $4.50 a bottle. Just $3 if you want one of the "Blasted" crackling formulations. Trend Tips and Toes are $6 a pack while nail sets are $12 a set. So if you're a bit of a nail polish fiend like me, it's your perfect chance to stock up on colors.

To note a lot of the stock has already sold out at stores! When I asked a sales associate why, it turns out that the cosmetic giant has decided to discontinue the line of nail polish with OPI and will be replacing it with their own "S" brand soon.

Sephora Friends & Family 2011

Every year I wait until this time of year to stock up on my beauty products at 20% off.  Sephora Friends and Family is back and if you have not been so fortunate to get a code from a store associate fear not.  You can get your very own code online at SephoraLove.com/FriendsandFamily.  So what will you be picking up?  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, Make Up Forever Fluo Night Pigment and Nails Inc Magnetic Nail Polish is on my list.

Special thanks to my girl TC for the tip.

Online Sale: Motel Rocks

Ladies who love body-con dresses, rejoice because UK label Motel is having a huge online sale with discounts up to almost 70%. Most sale prices are in the $30-$50 range, nothing over $60.

Motel "Nina Dress", $52.20 (save $32.20)
Motel "Angelica Dress", $30.60 (save $50.40)

I'm not one for snug dresses because I'm a little out of shape and it's not really my personal style, but a couple dresses did catch my attention. I also found a few more basic bottoms and tops that could be easily incorporated into any summer wardrobe.

Motel "Celeste Dress", $45.00 (save $30.60)
Motel "Sally Skirt", $21.60 (save $54.00)

The dress on the left is a nice piece for spring-summer. It would look great belted with leggings or tucked into shorts. And the sheer black skirt on the right is a nice updated basic.

Motel "Heidi Skirt", $45.00 (save $30.60)
Motel "Ethel Skirt", $45.00 (save $30.60)

I also found a couple bottoms that would be great for 4th of July (and the rest of summer)! The blue & white striped skirt has a nice nautical feel, and nothing says American quite like denim shorts.

Spotted in Soho: 50% off Lanvin x H&M

A couple weeks ago, Jeff reported on Lanvin x H&M on 5th Ave by Rockefeller. Neither of us have been up there since then, but earlier tonight I stopped by H&M in Soho (on Broadway just south of Spring) in search of a pleather skirt and spotted a small rack of discounted Lanvin pieces.
There were a few coats and a few dresses, all 50% off, mostly size 8+.

I also stopped in the H&M further south on Broadway, past Spring, but I only spotted one Lanvin dress there. It was size 12 and full price. If either of us make it up to the H&M by Rockefeller, we'll be sure to post another update!

Online Shopping: Finds Under $70

As Erin mentioned a few weeks ago, this time of year is pretty amazing for sales as stores and retailers make room for spring merchandise. There are definitely some deals on designer goods at Intermix and Shopbop, but by now sizes are pretty limited.

I've been browsing the internet for deals on both designer and mass market goods. Here are links to a few super affordable finds, all under $70 and currently available in almost all sizes!

BB Dakota Wiley Top
retail $80, now $23.95 (sizes XS-L)

This top is 100% silk, and marked down, it's quite the steal. I prefer it in the gray, but it's also available in zinc. This shirt is an easy basic that could worn as is with a slim pair of pants or could be tucked into a skirt with rolled up sleeves.

D Collection Toggle Coat
retail $148, now $14.99 (sizes XS-L)

Cropped jackets can be a little harder to style, but they're great for creating a layered look. This jacket is available in black and camel; personally I would go for the camel because I feel it would make a nicer transition into early spring.

Kelsi Dagger Women's Wilma Ankle Boot
retail $170, now $68 (sizes 5-11)

These booties would look great now with skinny jeans or thick wooly tights, and they could be worn into the spring with sheer tights or bare legs.

Deal of the Day: Hurley x Pendleton Girls Jackets

It seems like everyday there is a new Pendleton collaboration. Awhile back it was Opening Ceremony. Then it was Urban Outfitters, and now most recently Hurley!

The Hurley x Pendleton collection was released a couple months ago, and since then I've been thinking about the crop jacket. You know me and my prints, it is a fatal attraction! This piece would be a great way to brighten up a cold gloomy day, and it would look great with skinny jeans and boots. This crop jacket retails for $299, but for some wonderful reason, it's $234 at Karmaloop without being marked down.

The other jacket in the collection is the Winchester, which retails for $250, but you can find it for half off at 6pm. With the signature Pendleton Navajo print just in the hood, those who want a more classic look may gravitate towards this piece.

Online Shopping: Holiday Discount Codes & Sales

Hopefully you've got all of the holiday shopping out of the way, and maybe now you can shop a bit for yourself? If not, you've got a few hours for next-day shipping for Christmas Eve arrival, and with gifts, better late than never!

There are so many sitewide discount codes and sales happening online. With some down time at my parents' house, I've done a lot of browsing, and here are some of the best deals I've spotted!

Karmaloop: 30% off + free shipping with code "BERSERK"
If you're looking for a body-con dress or bold footwear, karmaloop.com has got you covered. I'm not always a fan of the styling, but they have a pretty extensive list of brands: Evil Twin, Style Stalker, Mink Pink, Motel, Jeffrey Campbell, Melissa, Ash.
Left: Cheap Monday Cape Sleeve Dress ($40.60 after discount, retail $58)
Right: 80%20 Adair Hidden Wedge Boot ($107.80 after discount, retail $154)

80s Purple: 20% off with code "twelve" & free shipping on orders over $99
I love 80s Purple because they have so many of the brands that I like, and the pieces that I actually want from those brands. Some of my favorites on the site include Dear Creatures, Costume Dept, and Kaylee Tankus.
Left: Grey Any Kennedy Sunglasses ($196 after discount, retail $254)
Right: Cheap Monday Siri Dress/Skirt ($37.52 after discount, retail $67)*
*I didn't mean to post another Cheap Monday find, but this skirt was already on sale and with the additional discount, this 2-in-1 find was too good not to share.

Shop The Far Out: 25% off with exclusive code "ImWithSugar" + free holiday shipping
Based out of New York, Shop The Far Out is a new online boutique with a nice selection of the effortless downtown chic that the city is known for. They've got a lot of my favorite brands like Funktional, Rebecca Minkoff and Cynthia Vincent. And soon they'll be adding Leifsdottir and Les Halles. Definitely worth checking out as much of the site is already on sale and with 25% off, you can score a real steal!
Left: Kova & T Oxley Dress ($197.25 after discount, retail $350)
Right: Plastic Island Geraldine Silk Blouse ($87 after discount, retail $155)

Who: Sephora Friends and Family
What: 20% off everything!
When: Now through November 3, 2010

Deal of the Day: BB Dakota Reeder Top

Retail $80, now $33.95

This tunic from BB Dakota is a fun take on the classic white shirt. It's a versatile piece, could be worn as is or cinched at the waist with a thin belt. It would look great with skinny jeans, and because it's long enough, leggings would work too.

It's currently $80 at every site on the web (Shopbop, Revolve, Amazon, etc) except for Karmaloop, where it's on sale for just $33.95. It's also available other colors like taupe and blue.

Gold shoes are a fun way to add some bounce and flash to your step. Gold jazz shoes? Yes please.

Flats & Walkable Heels at Scarpasa

Let's face it. We all love high heels, but they're not always the most practical, especially when you live and walk in the city. If you're Carrie Bradshaw and a fictional writer income, then sure you can afford to wear ridiculous shoes and cab everywhere. For the rest of us, there are shoe cushions and flats.

I know a lot of women, myself included, find it difficult to shop for stylish and comfortable shoes. Enter Scarpasa.com, a site dedicated stylish flats, low and mid-heel shoes, and supposedly kitten heels are coming back.

The shoes at Scarpasa tend to be more high-end like Milly and Zinda, so some of the pairs are a bit pricey. I'm not advocating spending beyond your means, but just remember that your feet and health are worthy investment. Plus, one quality pair is worth more than a dozen pairs from Payless.

The site is new and still growing, so expect new inventory in the future. For now, these are my picks Scarpasa picks, and good until the end of April, enter "Velina" at checkout for 10% off.

Zinda Lynne, $209

Wonders Haven, $155

Zinda Linda, $205

Markdown on Sam Edelman 'Zoe' Boots

If you still want them, the Sam Edelman "Zoe" boots that were once selling for more on eBay than the original Balenciagas that inspired them are now marked down at jildorshoes.com. They were $345+, but now you can get them for $199.

iWant McQueen's Dogtooth Cardi-Coat

I've been lusting after this coat for awhile and been meaning to post about it. The other night I was browsing some old entries from a fellow Indepedent Fashion Blogger, and she had posted about the same coat, which reminded me to get on it before winter is over.

This coat by Alexander McQueen, and I like he calls it "dogstooth" rather than houndstooth. I love how warm and comfortable this piece looks, and true to McQueen style, this coat is very dramatic with its oversized print and heavy draping.
What's funny about this coat is how different it looks on the model at Bergdorf Goodman. It makes me wonder how it would look on me. I'm pretty sure it'd be awful since I'm not very tall.

If you're into the coat and can afford to drop a couple grand, it's currently 65% off at Bergdorf from $4,365 to the low, low price of $1,528.

50% off Designer Apparel at StyleQ

In a previous post, I mentioned how I recently discovered StyleQ where I ordered my Funktional cage dress. I received my dress today, and I'm totally into the StyleQ shopping experience. My order was shipped via UPS and came with a return label just in case. And my purchase came with reusable bag made with 20% recycled post-industrial content.
There's not too much on the site right now. The Funktional dress is only left in a couple sizes, but there are a few other gems. I hope this site does well, so they can continue to grow.

Myne Ashton Tweed Dress, $137.50 ($275 retail)
& Funktional Velvet Blazer, $47.50 with code ($95 retail)

For 50% off your purchase, enter coupon code "INSIDER" at checkout. Coupon expires tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

As you know, I'm a huge fan of Bliss Lau. Other than at Gen Art and the Vivienne Westwood showroom sample sales, I've never seen discounted Bliss Lau pieces, but just the other night I found a handful of her pieces on sale at 80's Purple and Forward by Revolve. Here are my favorites:

Another one of my jewelry favorites, Alex & Chloe is having a Black December sale on select pieces from the Black Diamonds collection. Here are a few of my favorites:
