Online Shopping: Finds Under $70

As Erin mentioned a few weeks ago, this time of year is pretty amazing for sales as stores and retailers make room for spring merchandise. There are definitely some deals on designer goods at Intermix and Shopbop, but by now sizes are pretty limited.

I've been browsing the internet for deals on both designer and mass market goods. Here are links to a few super affordable finds, all under $70 and currently available in almost all sizes!

BB Dakota Wiley Top
retail $80, now $23.95 (sizes XS-L)

This top is 100% silk, and marked down, it's quite the steal. I prefer it in the gray, but it's also available in zinc. This shirt is an easy basic that could worn as is with a slim pair of pants or could be tucked into a skirt with rolled up sleeves.

D Collection Toggle Coat
retail $148, now $14.99 (sizes XS-L)

Cropped jackets can be a little harder to style, but they're great for creating a layered look. This jacket is available in black and camel; personally I would go for the camel because I feel it would make a nicer transition into early spring.

Kelsi Dagger Women's Wilma Ankle Boot
retail $170, now $68 (sizes 5-11)

These booties would look great now with skinny jeans or thick wooly tights, and they could be worn into the spring with sheer tights or bare legs.

Look for Less: Burberry Prorsum Boots

Burberry Prorsum, $895 & sold out last fall
Last year, Burberry's 2009 heeled combat boots were spotted on dozens of celebs and it girls. This season black combat boots have continued to rise in popularity as they're a semi-practical heel for colder days and a hot look!

Jeffrey Campbell, $175
Jeffrey Campbell got on this early with a dupli-CAUGHT version of the infamous Burberry boots for their fall 2009 collab with LF stores. They were called the "Poland" then. The shoes appear to have been re-issued as the "Boot Camp" and are available again online in a variety of colors at Solestruck.

Kelsi Dagger, $150
My personal favorite for this look is the Eva boot from Kelsi Dagger. I actually bought these for myself last week after Piperlime restocked in my size, and I wore them literally everyday last week. I got compliments on them at work, and outside the office a tranny asked me where I bought them. That's how you know you have a fierce pair of heels on, haha.

I love this pair from Kelsi Dagger because they're more practical for someone like me who walks everywhere and spends a lot of time on her feet. There's just enough platform and heel for the look without becoming too clunky. On Friday I started my day at 8AM and wore them all the way through work and two DJ sets, ending the day 19 hours later at 3AM. And while my feet were definitely exhausted, I don't think it would have been possible with some of my other shoes.

You can find these heels in black, brown and mushroom at Piperlime, Solestruck, Nasty Gal, Revolve and Moxsie.

Can You Spot the Difference? Kelsi Dagger Flats

Recognize these flats? I posted these in a shopping round-up for our friend Krystina awhile back, and last week, they were on sale at Gilt Fuse.

The other day I realized that the only flats I have are boots or oxfords - no basic feminine flats, really? So when I saw them for half off at Gilt, I went to town and bought two pairs, a pair in black and a pair in purple. Snakeskin leather and hidden wedge, I had to.

Cute, right? But wait, does something look a little off?

They are the same shoe, Kelsi Dagger "Tamatha", but the flowers are completely different! The ones on the black shoe are small and neat, and the ones on the purple shoe look kind of like an explosion.

I'm actually ok with both looks. I like that the black flowers are cleaner since they're suppose to be my more practical shoes, and the purple shoes are my fun shoes so explosion-life flowers are cool with me. I just find it really surprising that the detailing could be so different on what should be the same shoe.

If you would like a pair to call your own, they are currently on sale at a handful of sites:

Endless.com $68.55-$81.41 + free shipping, available in various sizes and colors

Piperlime for $79.99 + free shipping, size 6 black only

eBay for $54 + $8 shipping, two pairs of size 7 black available

Nordstrom $99.95, available in black, cream and purple
