Online Finds: LAMB Heels & Aritzia Dress

Good things come to those who wait.

Last fall I had my eyes on these ankle strap pumps by LAMB, but I couldn't justify adding another pair of black heels to my closet - not to mention they were sold out almost everywhere.  One year and two major closet purges later, I found them on the new saksoff5th.com for half off!  They run true to size and are comfortable for 5 inch heels.  I'm going to be adding some inserts to make them more snug and comfy.

retail $245.00, now $116.99

And back in May I had tried on this neoprene dress at Aritzia, but I wasn't sure I would get much use out of something so snug.  Then last month I noticed it was on super sale, so I ordered the dress in blue.  I wore it four times in a span of just a few weeks.  I wore it to work under a blazer, out to DJ with heels and sneakers, and even biking with shorts underneath of course.  I loved it so much I ordered a second one in black.  The dress also runs true to size.  If you're usually between sizes, I would order the smaller size because it's intended to be snug and the waist sits low.

retail $145, now $34.99

Next Season's Trend On Sale Now

It almost feels silly to say that black & white is a trend for spring when the classic color combo never really went out of style.  But black & white was definitely a motif on the runways for spring 2013.  While browsing Urban Outfitters, I came across quite a few sale items that could be purchased now and worn this spring.

Footwear Finds: Anthropologie Sale

Yuma Booties $59.95 (retail $148.00)

This posted was inspired by my friend Rubina.  She's super style savvy and equally obsessed with online shopping.  We often consult each other before making purchases.  When she asked me about these yellow booties, I said hell yes.  I love wearing bright shoes for a pop of color, especially in the fall and winter when everything else is usually dark.

After checking out these booties for Rubina, I started browsing the rest of sale at Anthropologie and found a couple other pairs of shoes to add to my want list.  I really don't need any more shoes, but I love them.  Here are the shoes and the internal debates in my head.

Snag: Kirna Zabete for Target - Now 50% off!

The New York City boutique and purveyors of downtown style, Kirna Zabete, has long been a celebrity favorite.  Now you can snag the collection of Kirna Zabete x Target for 50% off. Where? Online at Target? No! Target.com is still just 30% off but suprisingly on the Kirna Zabete website you can snag everything from leopard print hats, enamel lip shaped rings and dresses at a great price.  All orders come with free shipping but unlike a purchase from Target, all sales of 50% or more from Kirna Zabete are FINAL SALE so be sure that you know your size and are sure of your purchases before clicking buy! Please note sizes on the website are also much more limited. I snagged a Mesh Mix High-Lo shirt dress, mesh print tee, lace long sleeve tee and Parisian night hi low shirt. Let me know if you score anything awesome. Happy shopping!

Falling for Orange and Red

I'm DJing at The Bedford Chicago again this Saturday, November 10th. I'll be spinning 80s classics, indie favorites, and as always, a little disco! Come warm up with a drink and maybe some dancing!

The poster for this Saturday is another work of art by Austin Eustice.  I usually gravitate towards cooler colors like blues, greens and purples, but since spring I've been having a love affair with oranges.  And this fall I've added reds into the mix, so in collaborating on this flier, I asked Austin to look use a palette of oranges and reds.  The poster is great isn't it?

Poster by Austin Eustice

Oranges and reds have been making their way into my closet.  Most recently, I was gifted a pair of faded cherry red jeans.  I never thought I could get into anything resembling pink, but these jeans have changed my mind.  I've worn these skinny jeans almost every other week.

Hudson Nico Skinny Jeans, $100 (retail $154)
Worn with old Theory flats (similar) on left. Right. Worn with vegan leather peplum last time I was at The Bedford on right.

Barney's Warehouse Sale: Coming to a Computer Near You

If you're a fan of the Barney's warehouse sale,  brace yourself - the sale is going online this year! If you want access to an early preview you can sign up here.  Usually the pricing at the beginning of the warehouse sale is the same as the final markdown in stores/online - so the warehouse sale might just be a continuation of their current sale now (which is up to 75% off).

For all the die hard fans out there, fear not, there will still be a physical sale held at the Chelsea Co-op store from Aug 23-Sept 3, 2012.  Since the markdowns get pretty fierce at the end, it might be worth fighting the crowds and scouring through the piles of merch.  Despite its craziness, this sale holds a special place in my retail heart - I've come away with insane deals on some amazing pieces but it can definitely be a hit or miss.

Mr. Porter: Sale and Pop-Up Shop

Mr. Porter's online sale started earlier this week with lots of merch going for up to 50% off.  Definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the site.  Hands down, it's been my fave online retailer ever since launching and blows other online retailers out of the water.  The editorials are amazing, there's tonns of product info including measurements, free shipping/returns and is amazingly curated..

In other Porter news, they are opening up a pop-up shop geared towards suits & style for a week - I can't wait to check it out! The temporary shop opens June 9-17, 2012 at 72 Gansevoort St (b/n Greenwich and Washington St).  12pm-9pm daily.

Mr. Porter ramped up their sale this morning  - which is now up to 80%! There's a great selection and lots of items which were previously marked as 50% off are now 70%.  I've literally been on the site on and off the whole day and merch is flying off the electronic shelves!  Since Mr. Porter offers FREE shipping and FREE return shipping - this is one of those instances where I'd advise to buy now and think later.

Here's some of what's still available:

Mr. Porter: Up to 70% off!

So one of my favorite online retailers is having a sale with up to 70% off.  Net-a-Porter's male counterpart, Mr. Porter started their sale a few weeks ago but today marked the start of their (up to) 70% off sale.  There's plenty of merch but sizing and availability right now, but don't expect that to last too long.  With free shipping and returns, you've got nothing to lose!  Here's a sample of what's up for grabs:

There's definitely a range in terms of the products and price points and there's literally something available for everyone.  Whether you're in the market for Lanvin, Polo, J. Crew (button up plaid shirts start at just $21!) - Mr. Porter has it all.  Also, if you're looking for last minute gift options - this is definitely a good place to start!
