Online Sale: Mr. Porter

If you signed up to be one of the founding members of Mr. Porter, last week the menswear exclusive online retailer was offering 50% off the majority of their merch. Luckily, the sale has now made its way to everyone. The majority of items are on sale at 50% off with certain labels coming in at 30% (ie. Lanvin, Gucci,Balenciaga and a few others).

APC Cotton/Linen blend T $42.50 (was $85 ), Bottega Veneta Panelled T with mesh inserts $225 (was $450)

Personally, for menswear I think this is one of the best online sales I've seen in a while. While not necessarily the best deal around, there are still affordable options with lots of selection and if you've been thinking about splurging on an item, 50% is pretty damn enticing....

Mulberry messenger bag $297.50 (was $595), Polo Ralph Lauren Grosgrain belt $37.5 (was $75)

If you do end up purchasing anything from Mr. Porter - the packaging is absolutely amazing (I'm a complete sucker for packaging)! For your first order, the item is shipped in a pristine white Mr. Porter box and has a printed name card. Fancy packaging and great merchandising - sold!

Viktor & Rolf white contrast tipped shirt $182.50 (was $365) and accompanying stylized photo

If you're never been on their site it's worth a look - every item is paired up with an outfit so you can get an idea of how to integrate whatever you buy (whether it's a pair of shorts, a shirt or shoes) with other pieces in your wardrobe. While I usually visualize what I buy and pair it with things in my head, seeing it put together for you makes the process that much easier.

Jil Sander Poplin Shorts $222.50 (was $445), Burberry Prorsum Fitted Trousers $232.50 (was $465)

I ended up burning a hole in my wallet so I will be window shopping for a while...le sigh. But that aside - it was totally worth it =]
