Full Look: Harajuku Mini for Target

Target had collaborated with Ms Gwen Stefani, muscisian and fashion designer extraordinaire to create Harajuku Mini for Target - an exclusive collection featuring apparel and accessories for girl and boy infants and toddlers and tween girls.  The collection will drop in 2 shipments – the first will be on November 13, 2011 while the second will drop on December 25, 2011.

The collection includes many of the signature hallmarks of Stefani's personal style that mixes rock & roll with girly touches. Plaid, frills, tutus, stripes and leopard print are amongst the clothing for girls.  The boys' clothing relies on plaid, stripes, graphics and little tuxedo looks that kind of just melt my heart.  In addition throughout the collection there are plenty of stylized cartoons of Gwen, the Harajuku girls and animals including the Panda, Lion, Bunny and Cow. Cute attack!


“I’ve always been inspired by the cool children’s clothing in Japan, but it was always so hard for me to find it here,” said Gwen Stefani. “That’s why I am so excited to partner with Target because I’m able to create something inspired by that look but that’s easy to find and affordable. Sample Sale Report: L.A.M.B., Harajuku Lovers & Kidrobot

I stopped by The Savvy earlier tonight to preview their upcoming L.A.M.B., Harajuku Lovers & Kidrobot sale. I've been to one of the L.A.M.B. & co. sales before; this one seems to be even bigger than the ones in the past.

L.A.M.B

Lots and lots of bags, clutches and wallets! I saw pieces from just about every L.A.M.B. collection ever created, including the coveted Rasta bags from last year and the current holiday collection.

Some of my favorite clutches and cosmetic bags. My friend Christine helped me set them up. Cute, right?

Lots of wallets and cosmetic bags. Caution, the wallets with the white stripe are known to show signs of wear and tear quickly. One of my friends bought one from a previous sale and within a few uses, the stripe where the wallet folded started to crack.

L.A.M.B. pricing: large handbags $150, medium handbags $125, small handbag $100, clutches & cross-bodies $75, cosmetic & wallets $25

Harajuku Lovers
I don't think I'm the target audience for these bags. These would make gift items though for a younger sister or niece, and with the affordable prices, you could use any extra cash to stuff the bags with goodies.

Kidrobot
There was plenty of merchandise in a number of signature Kidrobot prints. I'm a Kidrobot fan, but I felt a bit too old for most of the bags. I would consider a few of the bags for travel or the gym though.

Kid Robot pricing: large totes, backpacks & luggage $30, messenger bags & medium totes $20, small cross-bodies & totes $10, accessories $5.

The goods are deeply discounted, up to 70% off retail. I think the most noteworthy finds are from L.A.M.B, but the prices for Harajuku Lovers and Kid Robot goods are very affordable. This would be a great sale to check out if you're looking for a edgy new handbag or hoping to knock out some Christmas shopping.

We stopped by yesterday. Lots of inventory, well-organized, and not too crazy. Delman heels were $90 and up, and most boots were $200. Size 6.5 samples were $49. They also had Nina shoes and Nina Dolls for sale, $50 and $20 for all pairs respectively. If you signed up for the Delman mailing list on your way out, you got an extra $5 off your purchase.

We tried to stop by the sale to check out reduced prices on timepieces from Gucci and The Bedat & Co, but the line was half an avenue long as of 8:50 AM. People at the front said they were there since 8 and still waiting. Apparently you can get two watches for $300.
