I apologize for the delay in my weekly sales round-up but I was out of town for a friend's wedding and spending time with family. Sample Sale Report: Bendon Lingerie December 2012

The Bendon lingerie sample sale is one that I make sure that I never miss. How else could I snag high end lingerie from the likes of Elle McPherson and Stella McCartney on my budget? If you are a petite bra size this sample sale starts at 32A and offers tons of sexy options that are not usually seen in this size range. If you are more full on top, this sale has also got you covered with it’s room with a wide selection of D to G cups. The most selection at this sale is probably in the C & D category although there were still a fair number of B cups as well. The pricing is simple and well labeled.

Sample Sale Report: Bendon Intimates and Skin

The Bendon sample sale has become a must for me over he last couple years to pick up gorgeous lingerie at a fraction of the price. I stopped by the peaceful, well organized sale around 6:30 last night and there were only about a handful of other shoppers.

Although it wasn't advertised there is a small selection of Stella McCartney intimates priced at $25 a bra, $15 a bottom and $40 for a chemise. Day of the week panties are $50 for a set and I notice a few Stella Valentine's Day boxed panties for $15. As for the Elle Macpherson Intimates, bras are $20, bottoms $10, suspenders $10, torsolette $10, Chemise/cami $30, sleep set $40. I spotted some Bendon sports bras for $20 a pop and a few random bras sprinkled in with the Elle Macpherson merchandise.

The Obsidian by Elle Macpherson are priced at the same range as the Stella McCartney and includes ultra sexy black lace numbers. Sizes range from a 32a all the way to a DD cup although band widths tended to stay in the area of 32-36.

Larger busted ladies fear not though because Fayreform and Dimity So has got you covered with sizes D to J. Majority of sizes in the D to G range. For Fayreform Bras are $20, bottoms $10, Chemise $40. For Dimity So rompers/chemise are $30, bras $20, bottoms $10.

The sale offers a private curtained fitting area with mirror to try on your merchandise. Perhaps if the sale was busier you might have to share but perhaps not?

Also while I was at this sample sale just across the hall in a separate room I was introduced to a line called Skin that is carried in Barney's, select boutiques, hotels and spas. The line launched in 2003 and the designer, Susan Beischel created it with the idea of being comfortable in the skin you're in. The collection uses for most part 100% Pima cotton and some organic cotton to create luxe silky smooth and comfortable pieces that you can dress up, dress down or wear even as pajamas.

Skin is all about versatility and most of the pieces are sophisticated and multi-functional. In line with this philosophy the color palette of the merchandise is mostly neutral. Cami’s which normally retail for $55-70 are now $20. Cotton Thongs that normally retail for $20 a pair are $5 each or 3 for $10 are available in sizes S-XL. Parisian chic long sleeve tees are $30 while Yoga Robe Jackets are $79.

Great sale in general if you are looking to stock up on sexy intimates or luxe basics.

Sample Sale Report: Bendon Intimates

The Bendon Intimates Sample Sale is seriously one of my fave sample sales to score some pretty lingerie at a great price. Every girl deserves a pretty little secret.

Seriously affordable with brands like Elle Macpherson Intimates ringing in at just $20 for bra’s, $10 for Bottom’s and Shorts for $15, Chemises/Cami’s for $30 and top & Pant for $60. Considering that Elle Macpherson bras's usually retail for around $66 and bottoms for $26, this is an amazing stea.

There was also a small selection of Obsidian by Elle Macpherson available priced at $40 a Chemise, $30 a bra and $15 a bottom.

I stopped by the sale after work and found it to be fairly quiet and calm. There were only 2 other shoppers and everything was either nicely organized on racks by style or in well marked bins by size. For the Elle Macpherson line, sizes were msotly available in the 34A, 36A, 36B, 34C and 36B bin, although there were still quite a selection of 32A and some various other styles in up to an E Cup. As for bottoms, there was by far the most left in size Medium although still managed to find my matching sets in size Small and there was a Large bin left too.They also have Stella McCartney at just $25 for bra’s, $15 for bottoms and $40 for cami & bottom sets! I also spotted 1 pack of Stella day of the week undies for $50. Plenty of Stella McCartney and Elle Macpherson cami and bottom sets in purples and orange tones. There were also some Stella McCartney gorgeous lace trimmed retro look bras’ and a superfun rainbow chiffon bra with sheer shorts in varying sizes and not as large of a selection as the other brands at the sale.There is also a large selection of Fayreform (which specializes in D-G sizing) priced at $20 bras and $10 bottoms.
There were plenty of sexy and supportive styles for bustier ladies left.all the bins from D-F were brimming full and the bottom in size Medium and Large were also well in stock.The wall included a display of some of the sexier styles.

They accept cash or credit card, but it will be much faster to check out if you bring cash. There is a small fitting room behind the curtain with a mirror. Since there weren’t any other shoppers during my visit, I was free to try on things at leisure. Definitely recommend this sale if you are looking to update your intimate apparel wardrobe, which for just about any woman is always a must!

My tip is to find your tops, then find the matching bottoms. If you find a match then try those on!

Sample Sale Report: Bendon Intimates

I went to the Bendon Sample sale today and I was amazed at the great prices and selection of pretty underpinnings. If they had more styles available in my size I think I could have easily gotten carried away. That being said I did walk away with quite a few things for a great price!

The sale was definitely well lit, spacious and had a variety of cute pieces displayed on the walls. It wasn't at all crowded during my trip and I had a very easy time navigating the very well organized boxes of merch on the tables that were arranged by size. I scarcely found something in the wrong box! Sizes of bras ran from 32A to 38J. Largest assortment in B, C, D and E.

As for bottoms they came in sizes S-L with more selection for S & M. Unfortunately compared to the bra's there were not as many bottoms to create matching sets. My method of shopping was to try on the bras I like and then sort through the bins to find anything that matches. Mismatches were put back into the bins.

The largest selection for smaller sizes was definitely the Elle Macpherson line while larger sizes was primarily the FayreForm Line. Stella McCartney was the smallest selection of choices/size but also the greatest value.

As for fitting room, they have a communal fitting room out of the way of the shopping floor & prying eyes with curtained windows and mirrors available. As I was the only shopper when I stopped by I had all the privacy I needed. Staff was quite friendly and willing to help.

It's No Secret, Victoria

Is it just me or does it feel like there aren't that many options for affordable but pretty intimate apparel? I often admire Natori & Agent Provocateur, but usually most pieces are out of the stratosphere of making everyday purchases.

Sure there is Victoria Secret, but the quality isn't great. One time I had a coupon for a free pair of underwear and I washed them once and they started falling apart, before I even wore them a single time! I thought no wonder they were free, and the promotion had the opposite effect, instead of attracting customers it made me want to avoid buying from them!

Move over Victoria Secret, on November 3rd, 2008 The Limited will be bringing the Bend On. Actually Bendon Lingerie, a 60 year old New Zealand based lingerie company, in a joint partnership with The Limited, will launch Intimates by Bendon for The Limited.

While you may not have heard of Bendon Lingerie, I'm sure that you have heard of the 2 famous lincenses, Elle Macpherson Intimates and Stella McCartney Intimates. Intimates by Bendon for The Limited will retail between $35-38 for bras, and $14-16 for underwear, much cheaper than either of the licenses but hopefully the same quality and equally pretty!
