Rogan + Target Round 2?

Designer Rogan Gregory will be collaborating with Target...Again! But this time it will not be for Go International.

After much effort to ensure that his previous capsule collaboration with Target was green, it looks as though his efforts were not in vain. Rogan Gregory will now bring you Loomstate as a stand-alone brand at Target. I guess the first effort really hit the mark with consumers as they are in search of eco-friendly products at great affordable prices. I personally find it amazing the first round to be able to buy organic/sustainable clothing at hardly any premium at all. Way to go Target!

The Loomstate for Target collection is now for both MEN and women. Finally, a Target collaboration that fashion savvy or environmentally-conscious men can enjoy as well as women. It will be priced between $14.99-$44.99. The collection uses environmentally sensitive materials such as 100% certified organic cotton and sustainable fibers like linen and silk.

Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmestics

When it comes to natural beauty, it doesn't get more natural than Lush. The company started in the UK and has since expanded to Canada, Australia, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, Taiwan and the United States. All products are vegan-friendly, made with fruits, vegetables, essential oils and safe synthetics, and Lush has a strict policy against animal testing.

Another reason why I love Lush is because they have a huge selection of solid products such as soaps or shampoo bars. Solid products require less packaging than liquids, which tend to come in plastic bottles that rarely get properly recycled. I still have a few old bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to finish off, but once they are done, it's Lush for the win.

I haven't had a chance to test all (or even most) of Lush's products, but of the products I've tried, my favorites are Coalface Facial Cleanser, Herbalism Facial Cleanser, and Dream Cream Body Cream. Coalface is a great mild cleanser for the morning, and Herbalism does a great job of lightly exfoliating, treating and preventing blemishes after a long day. Body Cream smells a bit hippie, but it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and smooth. And you can't go wrong with the body soaps and bath bombs! They also make great gifts.

If you're curious about any of the products, you can ask the helpful staff, and they'll usually give you a nice little sample to take home. For store locations or more Lush product info, go to lush.com.

MINI Rooftop Party - Fashion Show with EDUN LIVE

Last week during Fashion Week, MINI Cooper organized a week's worth of day and evening events on the far west side past 10th Avenue. Tuesday night, MINI Rooftop hosted a fashion show for EDUN LIVE. EDUN was formed by husband and wife, Ali Hewson and Bono. The clothes support sustainable socioeconomic development. The shirts are made in Africa by Africans and 100% certified organic cotton. The collection is limited to basic t-shirts for $20-$25 a piece, but with such a meaningful vision and cause, it's a line worth supporting. For more information or to shop, go to edun-live.com.

The best thing about the venue was the rooftop. The light installation was stunning; even the floor lit up. And the view of the city was phenomenal, especially after the sun set.
