Last week during Fashion Week, MINI Cooper organized a week's worth of day and evening events on the far west side past 10th Avenue. Tuesday night, MINI Rooftop hosted a fashion show for EDUN LIVE. EDUN was formed by husband and wife, Ali Hewson and Bono. The clothes support sustainable socioeconomic development. The shirts are made in Africa by Africans and 100% certified organic cotton. The collection is limited to basic t-shirts for $20-$25 a piece, but with such a meaningful vision and cause, it's a line worth supporting. For more information or to shop, go to edun-live.com.
The best thing about the venue was the rooftop. The light installation was stunning; even the floor lit up. And the view of the city was phenomenal, especially after the sun set.
