Thanks to Fashionisma 1.0, more pics of Matthew Williamson for H&M have trickled their way onto the internet. Looks electric, fun and full of the beautiful prints we know and love from Matthew Williamson! Wish I could see the whole collab right now, but from what I can see I'm really excited about it all!

Next H&M Designer Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson the British designer best known for his bright, kaleidoscopic hues and equally vibrant patterns and prints will be partnering up with H&M to create a designer collaboration for both women & men. Williamson is often referred to as the designer who never met a color he didn't like. He currently designs his own namesake label as well as sits as creative director at Pucci.

Unlike previous H&M collections, this one is set to roll out in two waves. WWD reports that the "exclusive" women's range is set to hit the top 200 stores in April 23, 2009 to be followed by another range for women and men in mid-May, 2009 in all 1700 stores.

Here's a look at his Spring 2009 runway collection for a taste of what's in store.

The Day After: Matthew Williamson for H&M

According to WWD within 11 minutes half the stock of Matthew Williamson's H&M Line was already sold. Although this collection garnered considerably less hype and was more of an orderly rush to get merch, there is not much left. The only items left standing at the 51st & 5th Ave NYC location were the Pink & Teal Feather Cardigan, a Silk Butterfly Wing Print Dress that seemed slightly flimsy, pink patent Barbie studded belts and Butterfly print graphic tee. Nothing particularly awe inspiring and unfortunately not a Blue suit in sight! The only merch left I wanted was left in the Window display that had me wishing I could tear it off the manequins :) Guess I'll have to wait til May 14th for round 2, although it's supposed to be less special pieces and more mass merch at that point.

Matthew Williamson for H&M on Sale

Not sure if the sale has hit NYC yet but according to a friend in Toronto, H&M is having a huge blowout sale and Matthew Williamson for H&M is now 50% Off! Apart from the limited edition collection, I actually loved looks from the Men's Collab to wear as oversized pieces and I think they may be easier to get ahold of because your average male isn't all that flamboyant! I got my friend to pick up this Electric Bone Print Sweater for me in Size M! Can't wait to get it! In the meantime I'm gonna hit up H&M tomorrow...

Matthew Williamson for H&M : T minus 1 Day!

In case you forgot, part 2 of Matthew Williamson's Collab with H&M debuts tomorrow on May 14th. This is the wider release collection considered to be more "Mass Market" but it doesn't mean that it's cheaper the long silk maxi dress is still $349. There is a version of the sold out peacock dress for $59.90. But my fave piece is the pink vest at $79.90 and those electric blue pants for 69.90. I ain't no electric blue suit but it's still pretty sweet! This collection is set to hit all H&M stores so there is a much better chance to snag the item of your dreams! Preview all looks & menswear online.

Matthew Williamson for H&M the Commercial

Matthew Williamson won't let you forget that part 2 of his H&M Collaboration will be launching soon with his new commercial starring Daria Werbowy and himself. Super trippy but kinda fun...Is it just me or does it look like at the end when he emerges from the crater left by the shooting star, the models are leaving a Trump look-alike's side to rush to Williamson's side?

Full Look: Matthew Williamson for H&M

I've been sharing looks from Matthew Williamson for H&M as they've emerged, now H&M has the full look at the collection available online :). Prices are also listed, and I'm a little sad, I've been deterred from picking up items like the jumpsuit at $249 or the full length dress at $349, because as much as I love it, it's a little rich for my blood.

The peacock dress at $79.90 and the suit at $129 for the blazer and $79 for the pants are the best values in my opinion.

Matthew Williamson Nearly Sold Out at 34th St

Quick NY shopping update. I popped in the H&M by 34th Street Herald Square at 9:15 this morning on my way to work, and it was nearly sold out. There wasn't a bum rush, but according to the staff, there was an "orderly rush" through the store within minutes of opening. Nearly all of the dresses were gone though I guess they didn't have that many to begin with. There were a few tops, plenty of cardigans, some belts in sizes M and L, scarves, and a few clutches left. No sight of the awesome blue suit pieces.

They will be receiving a new shipment of Mathew Williamson for H&M on the 14th of next month, but it will be mostly swimwear pieces.

Now Wearing...

Another lazy Sunday afternoon, I just didn't really feel like getting out of bed today even though the weather was gorgeous! I just wanted to be comfortable and cozy if I had to leave the house. The video just explains some of the thought process behind the outfit.

Printed Sweater - Matthew Williamson for H&M (from the Men's Collection)
HeatherLeggings - French Connection
Destroyed Denim Cut Offs - DIY (was Blue Cult)
Necklace - Subversive for Target
Snake Bracelet - Marc Jacobs Special Item
Riding Boots - Nine West
Straw Bowler Hat - H&M (from the Men's Department)

DIY Instructions:

Put on your jeans that you don't really want anymore and place a pin at the length that you want to make them. Fold up the hem as a guide for you to cut straight and cut with sharp scissors.

Repeat on the other side. Using either an exacto knife or a seam ripper make horizontal cuts through one layer of the denim. Make sure you use a cutting mat so you don't ruin your tables :)
Repeat multiple times!

Using either your fingernail or the side of the blade scrape the fabric away horizontally so that you keep the white threads of the denim intact. Be gentle.

Repeat many many more times and voila!

The other night Julia and I met up with our friend Carlene at her amazing SoHo apartment for dinner and wine on her rooftop. Incredible view right? Rooftops are such a treat in New York. They're obviously fun for parties, but sometimes, they're the perfect little getaway, a place to sit back, unwind and just breath.

Carlene is the mom of two adorable dogs, Emmett and Mei Mei. They're so cute and friendly! Emmett is a therapy dog and actually has his own blog. You can check it out at emmetisking.blogspot.com. Be prepared for a case of cute overload!
