Sale Report: McQ in Queens still on Clearance!

I read on Racked.com the other week that 75% of the McQ for Target collection was still in Queens and now on clearance for 75% Off! I didn't have time to make the trip right away and was a little worried that by the time I ended up having time to make it, it would be all gone but I made the long trip on Sunday to check out the scene. And yes, the cross borough trip was worth it! There were about still about 6 racks packed full of clearance McQ merch in varying sizes and it was indeed 75% Off! There was no sign of the cropped blazer I picked up previously or the studded shorts or jeans I admired except in size13, but everything else was still pretty possible. Which is amazing considering not very much of this stuff is available online, and it's still only 50% off!

Picked up the McQ Jumpsuit (assortment of sizes 1,5,7,9) for $14.98, the McQ Tattoo Print Strapless Dress for $19.98, the Draped Mesh Top for $6.74 and the Mesh Cardigan (only XS and M) for $11.24! My roommate got an assortment of merch as well!

There was plenty of the leather vest in for $34.98 but it was mostly in size medium, there was also plenty of the lion print pink/black dress on sale but it was mostly in XS, L and XS.

So if you were dying for some McQ but felt it was a bit pricey before, it's definitely worth the trip. Head to Queens on the F,G,R,V to Grand Avenue - Newtown ...or hopstop 8801 QUEENS BLVD, Queens

Full Look: McQ for Target

Nylon Magazine provides us with a first look into the Liela Moss (of Duke Spirit) inspired McQ collection for Target which is slated to debut in stores March 2009.

While I didn't love everything, there are a few looks/pieces I am excited to snatch. I do like the pink turtleneck/v-neck combo with the shorts (as our lovely reader S.P. pointed out, it's actually a scarf tied over a knit), the bikini and grey biker jacket. Also potentially interesting are the cropped blazer, jumpsuit and one shoulder/tank top dress combo featured up top, as Alexander Wang also intriguingly enough has a version of on pre-order at Saks.

Things that I think might be potentially scary are the pleather vest and trench. The materials look sort of cheap and stiff in the pictures. The print leggings (are sort of fun in an Yelle/M.I.A. sort of way) in the wrong hands could also be scary!

Although, this collection is true to McQ, McQueen's diffusion line, I really wish it was an Alexander McQueen for Target collection instead as I'm more fond of aesthetic of the real deal.

Full Look at Go International

Thakoon just came out in stores a couple weeks ago, but this Target designed Go International collection will be launching February 1, 2009, months before Tracy Feith and McQ hit stores. The look is supposed to be rock and roll chic but I think several of the looks seem a little inspired by Alexander Wang (exposed zippers, holey tights, ripped jeans) mixed with tropical and colorblock (Thakoon & Jonathan Saunders rejects?). My favorite piece is the ruffle sweater vest...Some of the styling is a little too agressive to get a good feel for the pieces.

Braided Strap Dress in Black $39.99
Multi-Color Bandage Dress $44.99
Bustier in Gray $24.99

Multi-Color Drape Skirt $27.99

Ruffle Sweater Vest in Gray $39.99

Jumpsuit in Black $34.99

Just Released! Alexander McQueen For Target

Photos via WWD.

Literally just released, preview pictures of McQ Alexander McQueen for Target! Sadly, other than the leotard, I'm not feeling it. It looks cheap and reminds me of Wet Seal. Let's hope the other looks are better. Your thoughts?
