During Lunch I had a chance to pop by the Suno New York where I was one of the first five ladies up the elevator at noon. The sale was cheerfully lit with prints galore making my eyes feast on all the glorious colors and prints. The staffers as well as the music were incredibly chill and in spite of some of the slightly frenzied shoppers the shopping experience was pretty relaxing. While there is no fitting room and changing behind racks was forbidden, there is a very large mirror for your perusal. I would recommend donning the Sample Sale Uniform of leggings and a cami for this one as one of the staffers is male. Granted he didn't seem particularly interested in looking but just a warning if you are shy. Sizes at this sample sale run from an XS to a Large, there seemed to be a fair distribution of sizes.
At the low end of the spectrum there were some super ruffled jersey tees for $20 a pop in heather grey or black. I tried one on but since it made me feel very boyish, I passed. The material was incredibly soft however. Then stepping it up a notch were an assortment of tanks in solid jersey paired with chiffon for $40 a pop. Tres cute.
I also spotted some adorable vests and short sleeve jackets in the $70-80 range and some chiffon metallic clip jacquard blouses for $92.
At the $100 mark you can find heavily beaded hats, sequined fingerless gloves or leopard print frill hem shorts or even choose from a handful of sun suits.
$110 will get you a great ikat print tunic with chain embellishment that I couldn’t’ keep my eyes off of – the print was so magnetic and so Suno.
The peplum printed skirt is $129, the paper bag waist graphic print skirts are $138 and super cute print and layer ruffle skirts are $150.
If you want some sparkle, Suno has some options too. Sequin disco pants for $275, Metallic Zip Front Panel Pants $130, Full sequin vest $150.
Printed pants $170, Feather Print Wrap Maxi Dress $310, Mix Print Blazer $258
Mxed print dot zip jacket $220, Beaded Jacket $254, Triangle Jacket $180
Printed cotton shirt dress was $372, printed cotton blouse $162 and skirts were $245.
This sale is great for eye popping statement prints and pretty summer pieces that are sure to get you noticed in a good way. If you are a mixed print novice, Suno takes the guesswork out of it for you as they often combine multiple prints in a single design. While there is a huge range of prices nothing seemed to top $400 and most items were in the $120-220 price category.
