For weeks, I've been anticipating Michael Angel's friends and family sale as it's one of my favorite lines, but usually out of my price range. I stopped by the sale yesterday, but since I didn't have much time, I only had a chance to take a quick peak.
The sale runs through the weekend, so I'm definitely going to try to stop by again. I would recommend this sale to anyone willing to spend $100-$200+ on a futuristic statement piece.
You all know how much
I love prints, especially digital prints! As expected, the Michael Angel showroom was full of beautiful eye candy. As I browsed through the prints, I thought of bloggers like
Style Bubble and
Six Six Sick. The sale featured a good selection of dresses and separates like tanks, vests, skirts and of course, signature leggings from spring 2010 and fall 2010.
I had my heart set on finding a Michael Angel print dress - body con or super structured. But now I think I might consider this color block dress. I only had enough time to try on a vest and jacket. I didn't check out the sizing, but I'm usually a size 2-4 and those pieces fit me nicely.
And while the highlights for me were definitely the prints, there was also a rack of beautiful, soft neutrals.
Prices at the sale were deeply discounted like 70%+ off, but not cheap. There were a few $30 basics, but why would you get a basic tank at Michael Angel when you could get a $70 printed tank? As I mentioned, I think it would be best to come to this sale prepared to spend at least $100-$200.
That said, there was a pretty good deal on shoes. They have tons of Aldo oxfords for only $40 and higher quality heels like Manolo Blahnik for $300. Again, I was in a hurry so I didn't get a good look at sizing, but I'm a size 7 and everything looked a bit bigger to me.
The staff at the sale were super friendly and helpful. They had lots of great styling tips!
Update: Just got word that there will an additional 30% off already reduced prices!
