If you are in the market for French Lingerie on the cheap this is a MUST go sample sale.
As our lovely reader Ellen shared earlier tonight:
"Chantelle is great. Bras are 1 for $30, two for $55, 4 for $100. Unfortunately 5 bras are $130 not $125. Undies are 1 for $15, 2 for $20, 3 for $25. There are dressing rooms, but the lines move slowly; there are also mirrors outside if you want to try on over your clothes. Lots of selection, mostly fashion bras, but some basic t-shirt bras too. Lots of stock for L undies, M and S are more limited."
Also to note, there was hardly any XS underwear to choose from. For all undies if you look carefully you can create some matching sets. If this is important to you, you might want to start at the undies and then find the matching bra.
As advertised the sizing is 30-44 band size and A-H in cups. But if you are thinking you can find a 30A you are unfortunately mistaken. For a 30 band size, B is the smallest cup and it moves upwards from that point. If you are a 32A or 34A, the selection is sparser and limited to one or two bins. Chestier girls can rejoice as C, D and H cups become the norm at this sale on band sizes that vary from 32-38 for most part.
The line for the change room is long, but they also have a bathroom stall for one individual at a time that you can get by in if you don't really need to see a mirror (as it's located very high) but it's spacious and private. I opted for this route and sort of balanced on my toes to peek the mirror.
Not only is the merch seriously well priced but the quality is great! I feel like it fits very well and is super comfortable. Some of the bras I purchased usually retail from $68-104 and since I bought 4 I was able to get them for $100, but I did originally want 5 and ended up narrowing down as the pricing doesn't make sense as Ellen mentioned to buy more than 4, unless you go to the next multiple.
For undies I was originally going to buy 4 pairs but they wanted to charge me $40, which I thought was silly considering 3 are $25. So I found 2 more pairs to purchase and I found if you buy more than one multiple of 3 they give you an additional discount, my 6 pairs of undies became $45.
Unlike other lingerie sales I have been to for most part the bins were very organized by size and there was nary a stray size or item.

I stopped by the sale yesterday and thought I saw a familiar face. I see my friend and I on line in one of the pictures! I agree that this was a great sale. The bras were very pretty and of excellent quality. Anyhow, I really enjoy reading your blog! Keep up the good work :)

Ah! Lani! It's Jon (of Sandy and Jon at your DJ gig at Oulu fame).
You were like 20 feet from my office yesterday. I'm at 250 Fifth Ave (on the corner of 28th St.)
That's kinda awesome. Glad the sale did not disappoint. Not much of a draw for me, though...
