Save Fashion is genius. A month long pop-up shop near Port Authority organized by the great folks at Refinery 29 to help New York's independent designers during this recession. Prices can still be a bit steep for some as the most lust-worthy pieces are $100+, but you will get a good deal! The discounts are amazing!

Each week will feature different designers. This week includes Charlotte Ronson, VPL, Flippa K, Rachel Comey, Madewell and Melissa Shoes just to name a few. Next week will be women's wear as well, and the following week, Week 3, will feature menswear.

I checked it out during my lunch break and had to keep myself from freaking out. I was a little overwhelmed by the large selection and just general excitement. Heads up, the lines are a bit slow and the mirrors in the fitting room are pretty useless (they're like funhouse mirrors), so I highly recommend bringing a friend for company and a good second opinion. 41st & 8th, do it!
