Spotted underground at the 57th Street NRQW

Noticed him because of the gold high tops!!! Upon closer evaluation, the colorful LV monogram scarf and hat made his outfit stand out. It gets better because I couldn't believe that I didn't notice right away the Britney Spears Tee he was sporting.

His goal? "To class up Britney" And boy does she need it! She's back but she's not classy yet, but fortunately Alex's look was.

Noticed her because I really liked the combination of Leopard Spots & Pin Dots on her dress. The subtle metallic in her scarf tied together her purse & the gold hardware on her shoes. Upon closer examination her necklace is really sweet too! Love that her total look was sweet but not too sweet! Unfortunately for us, most of her outfit hails from London.

"The Boots? They're Vivian Westwood!" She exclaims!

Noticed her because of her super fun plaid boots jumped out on her monochromatic outfit. They kind of look like Mary Janes gone wild over plaid socks. I also liked that her little leather jacket wasn't black but an equally versatile, though less common grey!

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a bright red beanie on a monochromatic outfit. I'm a sucker for stripes and her trapeze dress was perfectly paired with a shrunken blazer and utilitarian boots. Modern take on grunge done right!

"I was checking out your outfit" I say
"I was checking yours out too!" She says

Soon I discovered that Bernadette works for Free Arts. I was a little suprised because I have actually volunteered there before and it's a totally worthwhile cause. Free Arts is a volunteer-based nonprofit established to bring the healing power of the arts to children and families who face poverty, homelessness, and other risk factors. They are about bringing creativity and hope directly into the communities where there is the greatest need. They do this through Free Arts Days and Weekly Mentorship programs. Joyce looked perfectly age appropriate and lady-like in her pointy toe shoes, frilly blouse and fur trim leather jacket without looking stuffy thanks her velvet shorts. It was a nice play of texture but she kept her color palette simple enough that it's not distracting.

She says she was going for a professional look for the gallery. Thanks to her opaque tights I would agree that this look works in a creative field.

I couldn't help but notice Lenna's brightly colored scarf and fringe suede moccasin boots on this dreary gray day. I also liked the play of texture and pattern without becoming overwhelming. She kept most of her outfit within the color palette of her plaid jacket and accessories simple save for the scarf which added some pop.

She says actually the skirt is her roommates, the blouse is her suitemates and the scarf is a tapestry off the the dorm room wall. I say you can borrow the items, but you can't borrow style.

Sometimes when you see the way groups of people are dressed it becomes really apparent the people who are good friends. I loved the ways these 3 ladies unintentionally looked like they belonged together in terms of color palette and style.

Ann Sophie's satin shirt and printed top really glammed up her black shorts, tights & jazz shoes.

Kirstine's lace jacket, chunky gunmetal chain knot necklace and fringe shoes added an element of now to a blush colored dress

Solveig added interest to a plain black ensemble with a fun necklace and awesome clutch. Her hair looked really cute the way she twisted it softly in the front too.
