Inside Alexander McQueen Sample Sale (Sort of)

Unfortunately I was feeling a bit under the weather today so I didn't make it to the Alexander McQueen sale like I had originally planned! But fortunately Racked.com did a great sale report. The sum up? The best deals were on the accessories. Handbags for $300, 80% off shoes that average $800 (size 8 the most prevalant but all sizes), $40 men's ties and $57 mens McQueen x Puma shoes.

They had a weird pricing system like Stella McCartney where it was 80% off prices that end in a "0" or "5" and 50% off prices that end in a "4" or "9"

No lines to enter but expect check out delays of 20-30 minutes....hope that they work it out when I hit the sale tomorrow am.

YSL x Puma

Yves Saint Laurent has teamed up with Puma to create a high-top sneaker. The partnership uses Stefano Pilati's aesthetic paired with Puma's athletic shoe capabilities. Unfortunately, this one's for the boys only. According to WWD, "The men’s style, available in black leather or gray suede, just arrived in YSL boutiques, however, in the U.S. it will be sold exclusively on the brand’s e-commerce site. Puma has already collaborated with other Gucci Group brands, including Sergio Rossi and Alexander McQueen."

Alexander McQueen x Puma

Alexander McQueen and Puma have partnered on footwear since 2005, but now they're at it again, but this time to create a sports-inspired clothing and accessories line. The line is set to launch in Milan on Tuesday and will range in price from $72 Tees to $790 for Jackets. I love McQueen, he is a sort of fashion genius, but $790 for a Jacket? Sounds pretty steep for a collaboration. Yes, your regular line is in the thousands, but there is McQ and soon to be McQ for Target!
