Jimmy Choo: Men's Launch

After venturing out into the world of accessories, eyewear, and fragrances, Jimmy Choo has finally branched out into men's footwear which will be available this coming June. According to WWD, the line will feature classic styles with a hit of lux and glam.

The Autumn collection will house lace-ups, loafers, slippers, boots and trainers. Items are set to be priced staring from $595 to $1,095. Based on what I've seen so far, the shoes have classic designs from the 60's/70's along with a bit of edge.

Definitely could use a few of these in my closet!

More Looks from Jimmy Choo for H&M

As we reported previously the Jimmy Choo for H&M collab is hitting stores on November 14, 2009. Thanks to Racked.com we have a full look at the collection.

The look in general is still very 80s with the electric colors and glitterati effects. There are plenty of clothing options for women that include jumpsuits, sequin jackets, suede look dresses, fringe and furry vests but it's not the clothes that have my attention. I'm eyeing the jeweled collar necklace and the shoes! Although those cagey ones from the previous leak are still my faves. I do also think the sequin double tank is pretty cute. What are your faves?

Btw Men pay attention, b/c there is some Jimmy Choo in your future too^^

Sneak Peek: Jimmy Choo x H&M

Another image from the Jimmy Choo x H&M Collab leaked onto the internet on the Fashion Spot (via The Cut). The boots are real leather will retail for about $299 USD. I love over the knee boots and these are a great basic look. But it's Jimmy Choo...so frankly I'm a little underwhelmed by this pair. I'd much rather get the cage heel booties.

H&M x Jimmy Choo

Fresh off Jimmy Choo's collaboration with Hunter, in a slightly unlikely coupling November 14, 2009, Jimmy Choo will be partnering up with H&M to bring you a collaboration of not only shoes, but bags, accessories and clothing too. This is the first time a shoe designer will be working with H&M. I can't imagine what the clothes will look like but those black cage heels are pretty sizzling hoooot!

Lady O, Day to Night

After much speculation on who Michelle Obama would wear on inauguration day, as anything she has worn has instantly brought national recognition to the designer of choice, our questions have been answered. She can make those only recognized in the design world, suddenly huge household names. I am really glad to say that she so strongly supports the American design industry, she is a beacon of light in troubled times.

She started the day wearing a sparkling gold sheath dress and coat by acclaimed Cuban-American designer Isabel Toledo, who is best known for her slightly avant-garde style. Michelle completed her outfit with green gloves from J.Crew and green Jimmy Choo pumps. It's good to see her dressed appropriately for the occasion but I only wish was that the size was one size bigger, as it seems to be pulling slightly at the bust and hips. I'm impressed she could look so chic in spite of cold weather!

I'm not really going to get into the family much but President Obama kept it simple with a classic red tie and white shirt with a suit, overcoat and an American flag pin. I wish his tailor had hemmed his pants.

Their daughters Malia and Sasha both wore Crewcuts by J. Crew wearing more accesible American fashion, that in the bright colors and cost was very age appropriate.

For the inaugaration ball, Michelle Obama wore a long one shoulder Jason Wu that featured 3-D Applique treatment. Like First Lady's Laura Bush and Jackie Kennedy, the dress choice was white. Perhaps a symbol of a fresh start? Jason Wu the young Taiwanese-American designer was an interesting choice as he only has 3 seasons behind his belt, but not entirely surprising as he was chosen as last years Fashion Group International's Rising Star award and nominated for a CDFA award. I'm not sure how I feel about this silhouette for her, as I don't find it entirely flattering (esp from the hips down). The First Lady is a beautiful, chic woman, but I'm not sure this gown best represents who she is. Wu could do better, although I do believe that the dress and Wu were discovered by Mrs. Obama at a Chicago boutique, Ikram.

Jimmy Choo x Hunter

According to WWD, Brit designer Jimmy Choo, purveyor of footwear for the well-heeled is partnering up with the Brit brand Hunter, known for their iconic rubber rainboot. The result? An embossed croc pattern with leopard print interior featuring metal buckles & rivets. The boot is set to retail for $395 in Jimmy Choo stores and online, it will hit stores in June. Too bad they aren't out in time to handle April Showers!
