NYC Sample Sales: December 9-15, 2013

This week brings sample sales aplenty and as much as I tell myself to stop shopping, I know I won't be able to help myself. Sample Sale Report: DL1961

If you are in need of a great pair of jeans at a great price the DL1961 Sample Sale has as a great variety of washes and fits that will meet your needs whether you are a man, woman or even a pregnant woman. While these jeans normally retail for $138-178, they are now slashed to just $50 a pair and even less if you buy in multiples.

DL1961 are created with four-way stretch denim that will never stretch out, sag, bag, or do anything unattractive. The way that they fit when you try them on is pretty much what you get. Sizes run from 24-32 for women with the largest selection at present in the 24-26 and 31-32 category. But if you are a size 27-29 fear not later today they are expecting a shipment of 200 more pairs! Mostly straight leg and skinnies.

As for men there is a full size range (28-36?) but most of the stock is in the size 30-32 category. There is no real change room but there is some screens set up for privacy as you try on jeans and a large mirror by the door to appraise yourself in. Staffers are super friendly and the women shopping the sale were all huge fans bringing with them friends with strong personal recommendations. I overheard a woman in particular adoration over the Kate style. While colored jeans are in low supply as they flew off the shelves – there are just a few pairs left in size 26.
