Sample Sale Report: DKNY
I stopped by the first ever DKNY sample sale last night which is up to 70% off but now featuring additional reductions. One of the surprises of the sample sale was there was also a small selection of Donna Karan Collection on the rack. In addition there were quite a few faux fur coats that claimed to be runway pieces now marked down from $2000-3000 down to $300.

The selection of merchandise for women is pretty vast and it requires some work flipping through the racks of miscellaneous merchandise to find what you might really desire. For clothing I saw a range of sizes from 0-16 while pants were mostly in the range of 25-32. There were a lot of bold graphic prints and stripes available in addition to some more basic pieces. Plenty of denim was available from dark wash to color.
A few of my favorite pieces were the flowing color block pleated maxi dress and bold striped sundress both now just $50.
Shoe sizes for women were for most part between sizes 6-10 but the largest selection was between size 7 and 9.5. The real deal is with the sandals at just $20 a pair! But I suppose $50 booties aren't too hard to swallow, especially if you can nab one of the collection booties for the same price (although it was an incredibly small selection for collection).
While I didn't look very carefully at the scarves they are well organized and priced to go at just $15 each. Tights and socks were a bargain at $5 a pair. I noticed a few charcoal and beige chunky knit over the knee socks. Hosiery was a great price but most of what was left was either nude or black patterned tights/fish nets. If you're looking for the DKNY Cozy style you really won't see any at the sale but I did spot this similar draped one but only in a camel tone.
The sale was primarily womenswear but there were still a few things for the boys including blazers, leather jackets, button-down shirts and pants. As for men's sizing blazedrs were mostly size 36-46 with 1 lone size 34. Pants were mostly a range of sizes 28-30R and 38R-42R. Button-down shirts were sizes S to XXL.
DKNY MEN Price List
Jackets $75
Suits $125
Sweaters $30
Pants $25
Shorts $25
Knits/Tees $15
Shirts $15
Ties $10
Underwear $10
Belts and scarves are now marked down to $15. There was only a small selection of men's shoes sized 8-11 but they are just $30 a pop. Most of the selection though was a slide on sandal.
With reasonable prices and a large selection you could easily pick up a few things at the sale if you're in the area. There is still plenty of merchandise left but it's not the sort of sale that makes me ecstatic with glee. While there were no lines to enter the sale, there were plenty of women waiting in line to head for the change rooms.

Its the First ever sale at that Location. Before Soiffer Haskin had their own space there were sample sales in the midtown branch of Parsons School of design. I went to Donna Karan sample sales in ten or so years ago there. They also had a dkny sale in a space near Bryant Park.
Awesome post for improving sales. Today Sale has speed up and to increase our product sales, such new idea and strategy is must. I really liked the above information very much.
