The Melissa jelly shoes have made their way to menswear - enter M:Zero. If you're a fan, ALTER is hosting a pop up shop starting today - March 17th, 2011 at their location in Williamsburg. There are a couple styles: A laced oxford and slip on - both constructed out of plastic and both will set you back $130 a pair.

While I don't mind the style of the shoe - I don't know if I'm a fan. Plastic/PVC is not porous, so it won't let your feet breathe. The women's line didn't have as much of an issue here since womens' shoes/sandals cover way less of your foot in terms of surface area. That being said, there are plenty of colors to choose from so if you're looking for a rainboot/shoe that doesn't look like one - this might be a great option for you. If you want to check it out here's the deets:Who: M:Zero Collection
What: Plastic shoes in a variety of colors
When: Tues.-Sat., noon-8 p.m.; Sun., noon-7 p.m.
Where: Alter, 407 Graham Ave., b/t Jackson & Withers Sts., Greenpoint (718-609-0203).
