I stopped by the Rebecca Minkoff sale on 5th Avenue yesterday, and it was surprisingly calm. I like Rebecca Minkoff handbags and know how crazy her sample sales can get. Perhaps it as the rain. Whatever the case, the venue was very spacious and most of the bags were nicely laid out on tables, which made for a comfortable shopping experience.
Prices were a bit in high; most noteworthy bags were $300+ and clutches were $150+. You're not going to find a steal, but if you're been eying a Rebecca Minkoff bag, this sale is worth checking out. Almost every bag was in stock and in a variety of colors.
The more affordable pieces I'm guessing would have been the sample bags, but there was not a clear price list for the few that were left on the table. One canvas clutch that I asked about was $162, which I was kind of surprised about. I didn't get a chance to check out many samples. Unfortunately while I was there, there were two girls hoarding about a dozen samples of the same bag. It was a cream and brown leather bag with giant stains; nothing too exciting in my personal opinion, but maybe the price was right?
If you've been thinking about a Morning After bag, run to this sale. They had so many variations of this bag - studded, neon piping, almost every color imaginable.
The cheapest items at the sale were the small leather goods which started at $26 for a leather cuff. Coin purses and wallets were $50+.
There was also some apparel from Rebecca Minkoff's ready to wear line. Cute, simple chic pieces, but not the most affordable.
