Last week I went to the Joomin Lim sample sale where her beautiful, vibrant, punk inspired pieces took my heart. I am a huge costume jewelry fan and love a statement making piece with a bit of an edge. Anything too pretty or too polished, just doesn't do it for me. At the Joomi Lim sale there were countless pieces that vied for my attention and my dollars. As for the prices, there is something to suit every budget starting as low as $5 for single statement earrings and maxing out at $200-300 for the most intricate, multi layered necklaces and a limited number current season pieces. The majority of the sale is priced at $100 or less.
If you're a fan of skulls, there are definately more than a few to win you you over. The drop earrings to the left are a steal at $20! And the double skull ring to the right comes in gunmetal, gold, pewter and bronze for $40. I couldn't resist taking one of these rings home!
The metal bib necklaces with their twisted pieces and cutouts have a very futuristic vibe. The really great multi layered necklaces to the right are $150.
If your price range is lower and you still want something that will pack a colorful punch, there are fringe necklaces and colorful spike cuffs for $50. The rhinestone crystal bracelets shown above are just $30 a pop.
There were also some pretty amazing cuffs at the sale. The metal spiked cuffs are both $30 while the stamped metal cuff is $20. The rhinestone cut out cuffs are now $50.
If you're looking for what Joomi Lim is most famous for, check out her studded offerings. There were versions of necklaces that are as fancy as the skull one on the top left for $200 or much simpler versions for $70 at the sale.
For a new take on studs, these pastel versions look sharp, or when paired with pearls or rhinestones become dressed up. The earrings are $20 and the ring is $40.
