My outfit this year was pretty similar to what I wore last year for July 4th. I wanted to keep it simple, so the focus would be on the scarf. I'm patriotic like that.
Last night I celebrated the 4th and watched fireworks from my friends' rooftop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We could have been closer if we watched from Manhattan or New Jersey, but seeing the fireworks with the city skyline is something else. It makes me so thankful to be in New York.
And because I eat like a fat kid, I'll leave you with this food shot. My old coworkers were super cute and baked these festive cookies for the party.
