Almost everyone went digital this NYFW, but there's something lovely about an old fashioned paper invite!
Nicole Miller's spring 2011 show was very elegant. The collection featured a lot of maxi length and sheer columns. Many of the looks played with opacity, proportion and layering. The crop length tops over the maxi dresses created an especially elongated look. Something that will make me taller and possibly thinner? Yes, please.
The collection demonstrated the versatility of a nice maxi. Some looks were topped by more structured blazers and vests, while others were paired with softer blouses and loose sweaters.
The overall tone of the collection was serene, airy and flowy. The palette consisted mainly of white with some gray, olive and black in the mix. And I loved the subtle details like hints of shine and beading.
Without being too revealing, the collection was incredibly sexy - lots of graphic detail and interesting straps, especially in the back.
Erin and I really enjoyed Nicole Miller's spring 2011 collection. It left us longing for sheer maxis and spring.
