What happens when you cross Brazilian Plastic Dreams with an Italian architect/designer? Melissa Footwear has partnered with Gaetano Pesce to bring you ankle booties that are created of plastic discs that remind me of bubble wrap, glass pebbles or those sink mats!
The discs are made of recycled plastic actually meant to be cut away to create your own very customizable pair of shoes. The designer said, “I wanted something that would give the consumer the opportunity to change the design”. I wonder how these would look cut out as sandals or slippers! It seems like a fun pair of shoes that you could transform if ever you got bored.
What do you think of this collaboration? Super fun or not so much?
