True to promise, there were additional markdowns although those wrap dresses & DVF Vintage were still $150. Dresses now $100, Jackets $100, Blouses $60, Skirts $60, Tees $30, Tanks $15, Coats, $250, Sweaters $60, Samples $30, Swimsuit $40 and finally the coverups are also $50.
There were barely any swimsuits left, mostly 2 styles of bikinis, a yellow and white print and a black and white print, but no small sizes left.
One strange item of note? Plenty of ponte leggings and mini skirts in red, green, yellow and pink. There were also a few ponte shifts, but nothing spectacular.
There were plenty of various sizes of a cropped wool zip front coat with hairy fur trim on the collar and cuffs.
Change room lines only took about 10 minutes to get in, but it was really cramped inside as women are lined up and squeezed into every crevice. Once inside there were about 4 large mirrors to check out your outfits, but they were placed so that you often had to fight through changing women to get to them.
Sweaters were placed in boxes at the back of the sale and you really had to dig through to find anything, although all styles were displayed on the wall behind for quick reference.
As for the coveted wrap dress? I did not see many and of the DVF Vintage wraps I only spotted this teal print splatter print throughout the sale.
The samples were the saddest part of the sale! I was excited that they were marked down from $50 to $30, but most of the samples really looked like samples. Perhaps all the reasonable ones were picked over? All that was left was damaged merch, full of safety pins, cuts or rips. I spotted an awesome pair of pleat front pegged satin pants, but the seam slippage was aweful and the pants were sure to soon fall apart.
So in the end I didn't get anything and the rumoured lipstick being handed out upon entry seems to be no more.
There is still a good amount of merch but for most part it's been pretty picked over and a great deal of what is left is all the same. I wouldn't bother if you don't absolutely love DVF. Go early to avoid lines :)
