Stopped by the Libertine Sample Sale after work yesterday. It was pretty quiet while I was there, only 1-4 other people were there while I was, surroundings were bright and spacious, but no change rooms and only 2 mirrors that were slightly distorted.
Merch was primarily from the Fall 2008 collection. Plenty of plaid/tartan blazers and shorts. Quite a few women's vests in herringbone, pinstripe, satin and crepe with bloody hand print lining, kind of disturbing but kind of very cool too. Some printed thermals and hoodies (mostly in size small). Loved the prints of the sailboats, multicolor skulls and romanticized portraits. Very few printed blouses and sweaters. Pretty good assortment of Woven button up shirts.
There was about 3 racks of blazers, 2 racks of woven shirts, 1 1/2 racks of tops and 1 1/2 racks of bottoms/shorts. There were about 3 racks of vintage samples at the back of the sale. Also, there was 1 rack of overcoats at the front. Sizes were mostly small and large in womens. There were some medium sizes but hardly any extra small. Finally, there were some screen tees and totes on the table at the front of the sale, predominantly white with black screens in either ribbed tank or jersey cami.
As for the men's clothing about 4 racks but it was slimmer pickings as the racks seemed sparser. 1 rack of coats, 1 rack button up shirts, 2 racks mixed merch like sweaters, sweatshirts and printed tees or swarovski polos. 1 rack of army jackets at the back.
Really great prices overall. Not great if you're and XS but if you're a S, M or L, worth checking out if you like the romantic gothic punk look with polish.
