Banksy's Village Pet Store & Charcoal Grill

Need some weekend plans? Check out Banksy's latest installation opened in Greenwich Village, featuring pet-like animatronics - reptile like hot dogs, fish sticks swimming in fish tanks, chicken nuggets in a coop.

“I wanted to make art that questioned our relationship with animals and the ethics and sustainability of factory farming,” Banksy said.

The VIllage Pet Store & Charcoal Grill is open 7 days a week from 10 am until midnight. Yes, until midnight, so if you don't make it this weekend, you can check it out during the week after work with a friend or co-worker. 7th Avenue South between West 4th and Bleecker, near the Christopher stop off the 1 train. For more information or see video of the installation, visit thevillagepetstoreandcharcoalgrill.com.

If you're not in NY, don't fret. Word on the street is the exhibit may travel after its stint in the city. And because I'm a nerd, here's a picture of me with a Banksy piece in Brooklyn from a few years back.
