Fall is in the air, it's actually my favorite time of year and not just because I was born in Fall. As the heat fades away, my mind becomes clearer and my thoughts as crisp as the morning air. Distractions vanish and it's about every moment feeling fresh. The light making everything look a little more golden. I find relief from allergies, mosquitos and humidity and just enjoy life. On Saturday I found myself canoeing in Brooklyn during the day and I can't wait for an apple picking adventure upstate!
This outfit was all about combining lace with sheer fabrics. Lace is a huge trend for this fall so I actually made myself this simple mini skirt while I was home over Labor Day.

I'm loving this from the waist-down (esp the sheer knee-highs which I haven't figured out how to pull off yet). But think the blouse takes away from the beautiful texture of the skirt.
