Steven Sprouse's Last Week at Deitch

If you haven't stopped by already this is the last week Rock on Mars, an exhibition of Stephen Sprouse's work, will be on display! It's a relatively small exhibit, so it's not a huge time commitment - and certainly worth seeing.

If you don't know who he is, surely you've seen some of his work. Graffitied Louis Vuitton bags? Steven Sprouse was an artist and fashion designer (and party animal). He designed clothes for Blondie, Duran Duran, and Billy Idol just to name a few. He was known for his downtown punk style and futuristic vision. Some have cited Sprouse as the influence for the return of neon this past fashion week (e.g., Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors).
