Artist: Friendly Fires

The Friendly Fires are one of my favorite bands right now. Recently signed to XL Recording, the English boys released their self-titled debut album just last month. Their music is a bit quirky and very lively. Plus, there's a cowbell involved.
They did a few CMJ shows while they were in New York last week, and I had a chance to chat with Ed and Edd (that's not a typo) while they were at The Fader party. They're nice guys and a great live band.
Next week, they're supporting Lykke Li on the west coast, hitting up Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. If you can get a hold of tickets, do it!
They made a video for "Jump In The Pool", which is a phenomenal song, but I think one of their upbeat tracks like "On Board", " In The Hospital" and "Paris" might have been better introduction to one of the best bands of 2008.
