Company of We: Fall/Winter 2010 Lookbook

Ever since Company of We began back in 2009, they've been getting raves from the likes of GQ, WWD, Selectism and the LA Times (just to name a few). Even in my hometown (Toronto), retailers including smaller boutiques and Holt Renfrew began carrying the line.

Their new lookbook just released online so here are some of the looks you can expect to see from the line this season:

Great blazers - especially the one on the left.
Tweed + Herringbone + Toggle = Awesome

The cardigan and wool coat above are probably my favorite from the collection. The sweater houses a few different types of knits/textures in addition to a toggle closure while the 3/4 wool coat just looks polished.

Overall, I'm more of a fan of their outerwear over their other product lines. The pieces have great construction, attention to detail without being over the top and wearability. On a side note, I've been looking for a toggle closure wool jacket for a while now but haven't been able to find anything yet - so these look promising!

I Like Boys In Company of We

My latest favorite in menswear is Company of We. I have to thank my friend Allyson for introducing me to this line. She linked me awhile back, and I was an instantly a fan. One, my friend Danny Chen is the male model front and center. Two, the clothes!
A lot of my male friends complain about the lack of options in menswear or rather the lack of affordable options. I think Company of We will fill the void. The price point is similar to that of J.Crew or Club Monaco with most pieces retailing under $100, but the modern designs rival those of more expensive line like Band of Outsiders. In fact, they have a winter toggle coat that is quite similar.

Company of We vs. Band of Outsiders

I'm not a fan of the bare feet on retail pages, but I am a fan of the styling in their fall campaign. Thin lapels, slim cuts, narrow arms, yes to all of the above.

According to The Cut, brick-and-mortars are coming; for now you can shop online at companyofwe.com.
