Dana-Maxx Fall 2013 Collection
I stopped by the Dana-Maxx showroom the other week to preview their Fall 2013 collection. The collection is designed by Dana-Maxx Pomerantz. Dana-Maxx worked for industry heavyweights like Betsey Johnson and Marc Jacobs before launching her eponymous line, DANA-MAXX, in 2007.
Dana-Maxx is inspired by real women and loves to incorporate architectural elements and rich pops of color into her collections each season. The line is meant to be effortless and wearable as the designer herself; strong, sexy, fun, and fearless. The entire line is proudly made in New York, from top exclusive New York tailors.
The Fall collection is all about luxe colors with mustard and raspberry making a strong statement against black, white, nude and camel. Texture is a key ingredient in many of the designs and mixed materials, change of grainline or knitting technique ensure that the unique texture of each fabric is showcased. Architectural lines come in the form of asymmetrical hemlines, body contouring seams and interesting waistlines.
The collection holds plenty of standout pieces that would look great on the modern woman. My absolute favorite is the patchwork knits that look so cozy and mod in their graphic nature.
Dresses range in prices from $300-600, separates are $200-500 and outerwear is $400-700. The Dana-Maxx collection is available at specialty retailers around the world or online here.
