Trend Watch: White Out

We don't often cover menswear trends, but for our male audience, here's a trend that will be going strong in 2009. White on White was definitely apparent on the Spring 2009 runways.

At Thom Browne the look was a little sport inspired, complemented by primary red and blue. The look was casual elegance at Dries Van Noten and Paul Smith as was the use of softer fabrics. Tommy Hilfiger opted for a more polished look that included white shoes and ties.

It looks like menswear is steering back to simplicity, away from busy patterns and loud colors that were prominent in previous seasons. The layering of monochromatic fabrics with slight variances in texture build depth and sophistication.
